Get Ready To Rumble!
Me and my colleague, Ruel, have been anticipating this event since March. The excitement started when we learned that the Undertaker and Triple H will be taking on each other on the said event. Although we predicted already who is gonna win in that match but still we can't wait for them to beat each other up.
Since I don't have a computer to watch the event or download a copy of it, I relied on Padmei to work its wonder. From the Android Market, I looked for a free app that would let at least watch this event.
Luckily, a person that created the aDownloader (a torrent downloader) that let me find, download and watch one of the greatest show on earth...
Wrestlemania XXVII
On its twenty seventh year of providing wrestling entertainment, The World Wrestling Entertainment presented Wrestlemania Twenty Seven last April 3rd at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. Several matches has been lined up to entertain the thousands that attended the said event.
From all the matches that was lined up that night, only two matches gave me excitement and anticipation. I'll just summarize the other matches and segments in the said event. Here they are...
Highlights
One of the two matches I was looking forward to was between Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler. Although this was a mismatch because Cole had no wrestling experience, he got the services of Jack Swagger to train him for this match.
And to add a little excitement, in an episode of Smackdown, Cole had JBL to be their guest referee. But all went for naught when the toughest SOB interrupted the signing of contract. And with a few stunners, Stone-Cold Steve Austin signed the contract and became the match's guest referee.
On with the match, I know that Lawler will win the match since he was the most experienced from the two. I laughed at Cole's outfit and with Jack Swagger's frequent interference. The match got nice when Stone-Cold stunned Jack Swagger because of interfering with the match.
Lawler eventually won the match by making Cole tap out via the "Ankle Lock". I was just disappointed when the Raw GM reversed the decision in favor of Cole because of Austin's being a bias referee. Nonetheless, its entertaining.
Nineteen - Zero
This was the best match of the evening. Undertaker still has the clean record after defeating Triple H in a grueling match. I personally liked the two superstars and I favored the Cerebral Assassin from the two.
The Deadman still very agile despite his age and provide high flying and heavy pounding. After exchanges of Tombstone Piledriver, Chokeslam, The Last Ride and Pedigree in and out the ring, The Phenom got the Hell's Gate locked at Triple H which the latter tapped out after a long struggle.
Verdict
Overall, Wrestlemania XXVII is still a good event compared to last year. I was also looking forward for the "Money In The Bank" match but it did not happen this year. The other matches were just like watching other WWE Pay Per View events. I think the new superstars still can't handle events as big as this.
They have to get the past superstars services like The Rock(which I thought will have a match with John Cena),The Undertaker, Triple H and of course my favorite, Stone-Cold Steve Austin to get the show better. I hope that the next Wrestlemania can be more exciting than the past few.
